They DO NOT have a school nurse so I don't know how they dispense insulin, inhalers, & other medication. All their reading and work is online and I don't see how sitting a child in front of a computer is teaching them anything. The classes consist of different grades thrown together. They had a 15 yo 8th grade girl in my 12 yo son's 7th grade class. My son has never wore the Martial Arts uniform I had to buy. The martial arts are now once a week not 5. The bus service they use is A&S Transportation and an absolute joke. The teachers don't have much to work with or anything to work with for that matter. The 2 teachers that my son started with at the beginning of the year left before the New Year. Sometime i think they are there for a paycheck only and not for the future of our children's How we suppose trust our children's to a school administration staff when they are not performing there duties. Its not the first time that my kid tells me that the school bus drive almost crash because been ON THE CELL PHONE WHILE DRIVING and when you complaint about this situation, they don't follow up. The administration staff is ridicules unprofessional, this is the second time there is been a incident with my child and the staff (the people that suppose to be taking care of our children's on school)don't have the decency to call me first ,to notify me whats going on with my child ,i have to find out whats going on with my kid after rushing to the school desperate and scare after not seen my kid getting off of the school bus ,and the school not picking up the phone that he was hold on school due to an incident.The school bus system is a complete joke, the bus are or way to early or way to late of the time they need to pick up the students, if the school bus brake down ,they send another bus with no number or name of the school to let the students know if it is the right bus. Too bad, my child liked it here with her friends the past 3 years
This does not fix the problem here at Lehigh Senior High. I was told by Lee County Administrator that I can look to transfer to another school. On one test they gave out a calculator when the directions said "not to give out a calculator".
I am pretty sure this is illegal and considered cheating. Teachers in remedial classes give students help on the FCAT and state tests. Children should not be coming home speaking of their teachers' lives outside of school because the teachers speak of it and are unprofessional. She cried for days, I complained to the Principal, was told it was her decision and to live with it! Fraternization among staff is also a huge concern. My child was one of the females that was voted off the homecoming court after being told she had made it. The Principal in 2013 actually had a revote for homecoming court because there were "not enough" football players and cheerleaders on the homecoming court. If you are not a cheerleader or on a sports team, especially football then you are just a number. Office staff changed too and the 2 that were super nice were gone, replaced with snarky one's.
She seemed like she was biding her time til retirement. Now the school has dropped in their test scores, the principal changed before we left and was mediocre. Just in time too, as a scumbag teacher took over the part time gifted class and it would have never went well for my 4th child in it.

When my kids needed more than Diplomat could give we switched to a school with full time gifted. In the end we had some great teachers and some real scumbag one's. Caruso refused to do anything about this teacher at anytime prior. She unfairly graded the kids and at some point a parent managed to get something done and she was fired. Her teacher called the kids names in Spanish and mocked them, etc. My other children had amazing teachers except when #1 went to 3rd grade. Bullied a lot as well, but nothing ever done as the teacher never saw anything supposedly. His dx came in and then he was basically just abandoned in his 4th and 5th grade classes. But before his dx we were rushed and pushed through a 504 plan w/ the school before state testing began. As the years went on it became apparent he had a learning issue, which we had dx'd and was found to be Autism. Kid #2 eventually started and despite being a bit behind developmentally his teacher got him caught up in a matter of weeks. We started here in 05 and it was great at first.
